For wiring projects requiring more than basic insulation, ElecDirect’s adhesive-lined 3:1 heat shrink tubing delivers a moisture-tight, environmentally sealed finish. When heated, the internal adhesive melts and flows around wires, connectors, and solder joints — bonding securely to metal, plastic, or rubber to provide durable, water- and corrosion-resistant protection.

With a high 3:1 shrink ratio, this dual-wall tubing recovers to roughly one-third of its original inner diameter when heated (≈120 °C or more), conforming tightly even around irregular shapes, splices, and cable breakouts.

Manufactured from crosslinked polyolefin with a meltable adhesive lining, our tubing is tested to meet key standards including UL 224 (VW-1 flame rating), CSA insulation standards, and — where applicable — dual-wall military/SAE specifications such as SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/4 / MIL-DTL-23053/5. This ensures reliable electrical insulation, flame resistance, mechanical durability, and environmental sealing for demanding applications.
